Abandoned Truck

On the way back from the silos, me and Sara found an abandoned truck1 Inside it was a car, that looked great, besides alot of damage to the front end. Sara was disappointed, I think she wanted that car!

UNITED CRUSHERS!

Twice this past week, I've explored in and around the abondoned grain silos in Dinkytown. Although said to be "dangerous" (and truthfully they are, there are many ways to fall from very large heights), with any common sense it's quite easy to climb and maneuver them! Went on my first trip there with my friend Nick. It was noonish, and we were both killing a few hours before work. We found a hole in the wall of one of the buildings, and decided to go in! The smell on the first floor was horrid, but that did not deter us from venturing on. The walls were covered in graffiti, some phenominal, and some pure chickenscratch. We ascended many flights of stairs to find lots of rooms with old machinery, pigeons, and interesting litter. We each drank a beer on the roof of the building in the afternoon sunlight, and the feeling was spectacular. I was totally at peace with the world. Just yesterday, me and Sara decided to readventure the building. Sara was almost more adventurous than I was, and got some really cool pictures as well. We found some paper presses that looked ancient, with remants of paper-making-pulp still in them. We enjoyed a great view from the balcony, then headed back down. There are many other buildings in this complex that appear to be abandoned, so maybe someday we will be back!

ANOTHER walk through Minneapolis

Hope you guys aren't sick of seeing this beautiful area of Minneapolis, because I have more pictures for you!

Went on a day adventure with my friend Sara. She hadn't gotten out and seen much of this part of the city, so it was my duty to show her! We crossed the stone arch bridge, made our way along the river to Hennepin, then came back through Saint Anthony Main. Was a gorgeous day!

A walk through Minneapolis

This will be my first story for you guys. One beautiful day in February I decided to walk through Minneapolis with my friend Matia and take some pictures. I feel I really captured the urban feel of the city, particularly the Saint Anthony Main area, as well as downtown and Northeast.

These pictures here to my right are my favorite ones. It was really warm out, but still snow covered. we had a very warm spring this year, and you can see the meting very well.

This day out way my return to doing photography after a 4 year hiatus, and really got me inspired to do more. And with a city like this, who wouldn't be?

Hope you enjoyed the photos! More to come :)

Welcome!

This is my first time using a blog, so bear with me if I don't quite know what I'm doing yet. This blog will document my adventures through the Twin Cities, particularly my exploration of abandoned buildings, insane views of downtown, and anything I find to be interesting or beautiful. I have a few photo albums already that I'll be slowly adding, as well as many adventures yet to come!

Stay tuned!
